Brighton

I have just got back from Brighton. We had a great time, the hotel wasn't quite as glam as before but we still had lovely time just walking around and eating lovely food and fitting in some shopping too!

We've been back a week or so and I've tried to keep up a chilled summer feeling whilst being back at work.....it's working a little bit 😬

Sam bought me some beautiful peonies this week so that made being back at work a little bit brighter!

Until next time....xx

Living by the sea!

I love living by the sea! Working in London makes me really appreciate living in Whitstable! I used to wonder why people would spend their holidays here! But on my days off I love NOTHING more than walking into town with Sam and Betsey the dog! Whatever the weather!

It has become a little bit of a routine but how can you turn down a day of - breakfast out at the best places! Walking into town, getting exercise and sometimes some sun too!

It's great, I just got so fed up of wondering what to do on my days off and usually waste them shopping! I've decided I don't like pointless shopping! Especially now We are hardcore saving for a house!

Next week I'm off for 6 whole days! Me and Sam are off to Brighton for a few nights! We just wanted a bit of a change of scenery, plus a little pamper!

Thanks for reading :)

Chelsea In Bloom

This week is Chelsea in bloom, it's our most full on week of the year, other than Christmas.

The shop looks beautiful - it's called 'carnivearl' as the theme this year was carnival! We have horses, lights hundreds of flowers and prosecco!! It's a great week in Chelsea - every day there is different events going on!

But I have to be honest - I am so....so tired! It's so full on! We are back to back usually anyway, but this is different! Early starts and late finishes! But I think the effort shows because the shop is running beautifully well! However I am so looking forward to my weekend off - mmmmm Saturday lay in :)

The trains have been....challenging. Just so busy, people coming from all over to go to the flower show - don't get me started on Sloan square tube station - I am avoiding at all costs this week!

Anyway I thought I'd update and share some pictures of our great display!

Thanks for reading.

Glamour festival!

I was part of the beautiful Glamour Beauty Festival! I was of course with the Liz Earle team on a beautiful stand, I was giving cleanse and polish facials.

I was nervous on the day, I wasn't sure why. I've done events before but this one felt different! There was some amazing guests attending so maybe that was it!!

Overall though I totally enjoyed it. It's hard work because it's so full on! But it does feel great to be part of something so huge!

I had lots of ladies telling me about the selfies they had with great beauty gurus such as Tanya Burr and Pixiwoo and the gorgeous Rita Ora! As the day went on and the more I heard and saw happy faces I felt so honoured to be there!

I learnt to just go for it and not waste so much time worrying! I felt so silly! I would so recommend just saying YES and going out of your comfort zone when you can.

Thank you for reading.

Commuting probs!

Commuting does have some pros - I get time to watch YouTube? I get to see London in some of the best lights (early morning and early evening) I get to work where I want to and live where I want to.
I think that's where the list ends.

I have had such bad luck over the last couple of months with my commute. It's so testing! I do frequently think it is my god forsaken train journey that will be the reason of my leaving my job.
It's late
Slow
Time consuming
Busy
Sometimes very rude staff
Cancelled
EXPENSIVE
Railway engineering
Replacement buses

All these things have been a common occurrence over the past few months.
I always try and put a positive spin on things and tell my self it's not too bad - I'll be fine - I am so lucky to have Sam (who works from home ) to drop me to random last minute change of train stations! If he wasn't around I think I'd be sacked by now!

I just wanted to share my experience because I think there needs to be more awareness around the poor service of South Eastern! I have no other option but to use them to get to work, and don't they know it.

Since I started my London job over a year ago I never have been so bothered by a train! But saying all this - this is the worst it's been and I'm hopeful it'll get better, but in the meantime I need to keep calm and carry on!

When all is running as it should I couldn't be happier! So come on south eastern #fixit

Romantic getaways!

Sam booked for us to go away for a valentines time out! On Saturday early in the morning we set off to Norwich! I had mentioned quite a lot that I had wanted to visit. After watching Tanya Burr and Jim chapmans older vlogs I thought it looked pretty cool!

We wasn't disappointed. Sam had rented a lovely top floor serviced apartment for our long weekend. We spent our days wondering the street and shops and eating some great food. Norwich do brunch well!

My favourite place was Franks. We went here for breakfast on Valentine's Day. We had to wait a little while for a table and then for our food, but we was not let down. The food was great! We had American style pancakes with bacon and lashings of maple syrup!

I so enjoyed having a few days off and time to just enjoy each others company.

Thank you Sam....I appreciate everything you planned and arranged.

I would totally recommend a trip to Norwich. It's a arty pretty diverse city.

Until next time....xx

Surprise day off!

For the first time since my time began at Liz Earle I had a day with only 3 clients! Two of which could be moved over, the other was happy to come another day! So my manager said "would you like the day off" heck yeah!

So Sam had a photo shoot with celebrity chef Richard Philips in the morning! So once he was back we went for a laaaavly lunch at our local JoJos! I enjoyed a gorge pea and ham soup!

We then went for a wonder around TKMax which is one of my fave shops in the world! I cannot wait to have my own place to kit out!

I just wanted to share my little surprise day off!

Until next time....xx
