Commuting does have some pros - I get time to watch YouTube? I get to see London in some of the best lights (early morning and early evening) I get to work where I want to and live where I want to.
I think that's where the list ends.
I have had such bad luck over the last couple of months with my commute. It's so testing! I do frequently think it is my god forsaken train journey that will be the reason of my leaving my job.
It's late
Slow
Time consuming
Busy
Sometimes very rude staff
Cancelled
EXPENSIVE
Railway engineering
Replacement buses
All these things have been a common occurrence over the past few months.
I always try and put a positive spin on things and tell my self it's not too bad - I'll be fine - I am so lucky to have Sam (who works from home ) to drop me to random last minute change of train stations! If he wasn't around I think I'd be sacked by now!
I just wanted to share my experience because I think there needs to be more awareness around the poor service of South Eastern! I have no other option but to use them to get to work, and don't they know it.
Since I started my London job over a year ago I never have been so bothered by a train! But saying all this - this is the worst it's been and I'm hopeful it'll get better, but in the meantime I need to keep calm and carry on!
When all is running as it should I couldn't be happier! So come on south eastern #fixit
